Project Description:

Demolition of existing buildings #21 – 29. Creation of new Gateway Plaza, renovation of existing parking lots 6 A-D. New Plaza and amphitheater, pedestrian pathways, landscaping and energy efficient LED parking lot lights.

Project Benefits:

The North Gateway Project will provide additional parking, enhanced safety and accessibility with improved pedestrian and vehicle paths and roadways.

  • Pre-Bid Conference #2 – May 1, 2012 at 10:00am

  • Bids Due – July 17, 2012 at 2:00pm
  • Anticipated Board Of Trustees Award – August 15, 2012
  • NTP start date anticipated (~October 2012)
  • Substantial Completion (~September 2013)
This project was bid in July 2011, but the District did not Award the bid at that time. This bid is a re-bid of the project, with some revisions to the design.

SMCCCD pre-qualified A License contractors for 2012 may be eligible to bid on this project, and may participate in a project specific concurrent supplemental qualification package to be submitted with the bid of this project. Invitations to bid for this project were published on April 18, 2012, and award of a construction contract is anticipated at the August 15, 2012 Board Of Trustees meeting.
