To all employees:
Work to install pedestrian safety improvements will take place at the campus bus stop area beginning Monday, July 22 through Monday, July 29. The bus stop and adjacent roadways and sidewalks will remain open to traffic and pedestrians during the first four days of work, however, the section of Loop Road from the “Y” to the campus bus stop will be closed to vehicle traffic on Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27. Signs will be posted throughout the campus quad and at the bus stop the week of July 22 notifying of this closure, but I am providing this notice in advance as much as possible. Please notify your students, faculty, staff, and campus guests of this upcoming closure so they can prepare accordingly. The bus stop for those two days will be temporarily relocated to the intersection of Loop Rd and Campus Circle (the NE corner of Parking Lot 6).
The work over those two days will affect the roadway only so pedestrian traffic may cross Loop Road at the Bldg 1 crosswalk- only vehicles will be prohibited from using the roadway. Parking Lots 5 and 6 will be available, but have to be accessed from Campus Circle and not via Loop Road. Parking Lot 4 will not be open to vehicle traffic, parking, or deliveries.
Please contact me if you have any questions or need more information.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
