Caption, from John Hubbard and dated December 2, 1971, reads "CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER -- Lester Campbell (right), head of Student Development Program at Canada College, compliments three young freshmen upon their selection as winners of $500 Statler Foundation scholarships. Recipients are (from left) Frank Lampkin, 1103 Carlton Ave., Menlo Park; Willie Moore Jr., 2770 Xavier St., East Palo Alto; and Johnnie Barbie, 2064 Pulgas Ave., East Palo Alto. All three are majoring in food technology at the Redwood City junior college, after having received earlier instruction in high school Project FEAST (Foods Education and Service Training) courses -- Lampkin and Barbie at Ravenswood, Moore at Menlo-Atherton. They were selected for the awards by the Califoniia Hotel & Motel Association." 1970's
