TES For SMCCCD Students
San Mateo County Community College District, Transcript Evaluation Service (TES) and Degree Works™ (in WebSMART) work together to present how coursework completed at other colleges and universities can be applied to SMCCCD’s educational goals.
TES provides students at Cañada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College with an official evaluation of how coursework completed outside our district applies to:
- Certificates within SMCCCD
- Associate Degrees within SMCCCD
- CSU GE Certification for students transferring to a California State University campus
- IGETC Certification for students transferring to a University of California campus or a California State University campus
Please plan ahead! Because every transcript evaluation is unique and may require extensive research, the time to complete each evaluation may drastically vary. TES continually receives large number of requests and completion time for an evaluation is 6 to 8 weeks; however, during certain times in the year, it may take 12 to 16 weeks to complete your evaluation.
If you have taken courses at independent or out-of-state colleges/universities, or your coursework predates available catalogs, you may be asked to provide course descriptions, syllabi or additional catalog information. You will be notified by email (MY.SMCCD.EDU email) if this is necessary. Such requests may increase the completion time for your evaluation.
You will receive an email once your transcript evaluation is completed. Be sure and meet with a counselor soon after you have evaluation results to complete an accurate Student Educational Plan (SEP).
