Cañada College – Building 16 and 18 Modernization

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Full modernization of the interiors of Building 16 & 18, including new mechanical systems, modernization of science labs, upgraded restrooms, new furniture, finishes and equipment.  A new elevator will be added to Bldg 16 and the Bldg 18 elevator will be modernized.

SCHEDULE:

Wednesday December 19 - Demolition of Bldg 16 ground floor interiors will start
Thursday December 20 – Demolition of Bldg 18 third floor interiors will start.
Wednesday December 26 – Demolition of other floors in Building 16 & 18 will start.

CAMPUS IMPACT:

Building 16 & 18 will closed entirely, including bathrooms.  Fencing will be around the buildings to protect the public from construction areas.  Exterior stairs around Bldg 16 & 18 will remain open, and Bldg 17 will remain open for Spring Semester.  Please pardon the inconvenience during this phase of the construction renovations.  See this map for exact locations.
