  • Global Workplace Wellness Summit (Nov. 7 & 8)
    The Global Workplace Wellness Summit is being held at the San Mateo College on November 7th and 8th 2018, with a post summit skill building training day for leaders. Over the past decade there has been at least a 30% increase in health insurance premiums, while at the same time the incidents of bullying, absenteeism, workplace and mental health diseases have plagued more employees – causing distractions, absences, and lowering their productivity at work.The Global Workplace Wellness Summit is designed to offer a global perspective for implementing wellness strategic solutions for wellness at work.   • 1-day Coaching Skills for Workplace Wellness Training (Nov. 9)

    On November 9, 2018, the GWWS will be hosting its leadership wellness coaching skills building day. This day is designed with leaders in mind and is geared to help you gain valuable coaching skills to hold wellness conversations with your team, as well as lead the way to better and more cost-effective wellness at work.

How Investing in Employee Development Boosts Company Results

How do we know our training is effective? As HR professionals, we know that it’s important for training to “stick.” But in today’s dynamic and rapidly changing world, employee development must be an integral part of our organization’s business strategy to be truly effective. In this talk, HR professional Nancy Nelson will share five tips for creating and maintaining a learning culture, including the skills that employees and leaders must have to navigate the changing world of work. This event is ideal for HR and learning & development managers, especially those who are responsible for selecting and developing training programs for their organizations.

Nancy C. Nelson, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR, PHR-CA is a senior HR leader and practitioner with extensive hands-on experience developing and implementing HR strategies across a wide range of industries and sectors. Nancy has over 20 years of leadership experience in Human Resources, and is an expert trainer in Communication and Conflict Resolution, Performance Management, Organizational Development, Risk Assessment and Employee Relations.
