Drama production: "Little Mary Sunshine". (four images) Summary of captions for images 1--3, from John Hubbard and dated April 24, 1967: "SHOOTING IN THE DARK -- Melody Marion of Belmont, portaying Nancy Twinkle in operetta "Little Mary Sunshine" at College of San Mateo, takes a light-hearted attitude toward 'brave' soldier's eyes-closed approach to a kiss. Flip Reade of Daly City is cast as Corporal Billy Jester. Performances of laugh-loaded spoof of traditional operettas are scheduled May 5, 6, 12, 13 and 14 in campus theater. Tickets are available from the college box ofice, 341-5689."
Caption for image 4: "LOVE BEGINS AT 40? -- Jean Donohue of Pacifica and James Klawin of San Carlos are in close harmony (and close proximity) in middle-agedly romantic scene from College of San Mateo student production of the operetta spoof, "Little Mary Sunshine," scheduled in campus theater May 5, 6,12, 13, and 14. Mrs. Donohue, a housewife and mother who is active in community activities (she's president of the Pacifica Association of Performing Arts), plays the role of Madame von Liebedich; Klawin, an alumnus of carlmont High School and a veteran of theatrical appearances there and at Circle Star Theater, is cast as General Fairfax. All seats are reserved; tickets may be ordered from the campus box office, 341-5689."
