Description	Memorial gift to Library. Caption from John Hubbard and dated January 26, 1967, reads "IN MEMORIAM -- Mr. and Mrs. David Markham of Daly City, with daughter Lynn, attend College of San Mateo ceremony at which large plexiglas globe in campus library is dedicated in memory of their son, Gary. At right is Walter Gmelch, student body president. Gary, 19, drowned in the surf at Bean Hollow beach Dec. 8 when he strayed away from the main body of a CSM science class field trip. Funds for the memorial were raised by his student friends on the campus." 1960's
