News release reads
"FIRST TO JOIN UP-- Dr. James W. Duke, new Canada College president, becomes initial 1971-72 member of college Patrons Association by turning over $1 check for annual dues to Mrs. Trescott White of Redwood City. Mrs. White is president of the association, which has launched yearly membership campign among parents of Canada students and other friends of the college. Dues help provide student financial aid at the college through scholarships and revolving loan fund."
