Report a COVID-19 Positive Result

 

Student Reporting

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 (either home antigen or PCR lab test), stay home, do not come to campus, and follow these steps:

Step 1) Log into the Student Success Link (SSL) from the mySMCCD Student Portal.

Step 2) After logging into the Student Success Link, select the My Forms tab, and choose COVID Forms to record a COVID Positive Test. Follow the instructions on the form to complete and submit.

COVID-19 Symptomatic or Exposure Procedure

Decision Tree
  • COVID-19 Symptomatic. Stay home (isolate) and Test (if home antigen test is negative and symptoms persist, follow up with PCR lab test).
    • Negative
      • May return to campus if no fever for 24 hours and symptoms improved.
    • Positive
      • Isolation 5-10 days from symptoms presentation

  • Exposure to Confirmed COVID-19 Positive Individual (Regardless of vaccination status)
    • Was the exposure time indoors, closer than 6 feet, and greater than 15 minutes cumulatively? Being within six feed of a COVID-19 case for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or greater in any 24-hour period within or overlapping with the "high-risk exposure period" regardless of the use of face coverings.
      • Yes
        • Symptom monitor for 14 days.
        • COVID-19 testing 3-5 days following last exposure
        • If tests positive, isolation for 5-10 days from positive results.
      • No
        • No recommendations apply
