Free PCR COVID-19 Testing at all School Sites via            COVID Clinic

San Mateo County Community College District, through its partnership with COVID Clinic, operates COVID-19 testing sites at Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College. Testing is available to students, employees, and the public.

The test is free but registration is required 

The tests are conducted with a nasal swab and results are provided within 24–72 hours. 

  • Visit the COVID Clinic Testing website to register
  • If this is your first time, registration will require basic contact, insurance, and general health information
  • Once registered, you can then show up to any COVID Clinic site during operating hours for testing

Your COVID-19 Test Process

  1. Once registered, you can then show up to any COVID Clinic site during operating hours for testing
  2. Park your car (if you drive) and walk up to the Kiosk
  3. On-location staff will check you in
  4. Staff will conduct nasal swab test and send sample to the lab
  5. Notification will be provided when your results are ready and available through your Covid Clinic account as soon as results are available.

Free Public COVID-19 Testing Site at CSM via San Mateo County Health

San Mateo County Health operates a drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the College of San Mateo campus. Located in Lot X at CSM, the site is open to the public and replaces the previous testing location at the San Mateo County Event Center.

Sundays–Thursdays, 8:00am – 2:00pm and 3:00pm – 8:00pm

The test is free but an appointment is required.

The tests are conducted with a nasal swab and results provided within 24–72 hours. The site has the capacity to test 1,000 people per day. Testing services are provided by OptumServe, the federal health business of Optum and UnitedHealth Group.

Your COVID-19 Test Process

  1. Attend your scheduled testing appointment
  2. On-location staff will check you in
  3. Staff will conduct nasal swab test and send sample to the lab
  4. Notification will be provided when your results are ready and available on LHI.Care within 1–3 days.

  3. Log in to your account
  4. Choose a testing location
  5. Schedule an appointment

Note:
Appointments for children under 13 cannot be made online and must be made by calling the LHI Call Center.

Additional Details

  • Please remain in your vehicle at all times.
  • The test is no-cost to you but your insurance will be billed if available (please have your insurance information ready).
  • Portable restrooms are available. 
  • SMCCCD employees and students who are working at CSM or the District Office, or attending a class at CSM, may walk to testing site.
