The San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley are located between the World Class City of San Francisco and the High Tech Capital of the World, Silicon Valley. San Mateo Colleges of Silicon Valley are minutes from the Pacific Ocean, and from hiking areas and beautiful national parks, as well as five hours to ski resorts in northern California. We are within easy traveling distance to several principal colleges and universities: Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, and Santa Clara University.   As with any major metropolitan area, there is plenty of public transportation available to our students. Caltrain is the regional train that links San Francisco to San Jose, and all of the smaller cities in between.BART is the subway system that links San Francisco to the East Bay and to the airport.  Our colleges are only 30 minutes from local airports in San Francisco and San Jose.
