Skyline College Building 3 - Modernization & Seismic

Description: Building 3 is a two story building of concrete tilt-up construction and was completed in 1969. This building currently houses Physical Education, Athletics, Gymnasium and Multi-Purpose Spaces. This modernization and seismic retrofit project will include electrical, mechanical and accessibility upgrades. A second floor restroom will be added to service the gymnasium. The locker rooms and showers will be renovated. The dance studio and mat room will also be remodeled.
Benefit: The Building 3 modernization and seismic retrofit will provide a facility that meets current earthquake and accessibility codes while providing functional spaces that meet the needs of the current Physical Education curriculum while supporting the college’s athletic teams. The addition of another Multi-purpose Room will provide greater flexibility to the college in regards to course offerings and usage of the spaces. The Locker Rooms will be modernized and smaller team rooms will be created.
