Candidate Profile: Wilma Lee
Please share your qualifications and why you are interested in serving on the San Mateo County Community College District Board of Trustees.
I am a management and technology professional with experience in the public sector and library services industry, with strong customer service and communication skills. I work well independently, as well as in a team environment. I also currently serve as the Vice Chair of the San Bruno Park School District's Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee and an active parent participant at my sons' school.
I am interested in serving on the San Mateo County Community College District Board of Trustees because I want to be able to assist the SMCCD of today to move forward with growth in order for it to be ready for the future. I believe that change takes time and with a collaborative effort among all stakeholders we can set the course so that my school aged children and their peers will be able to enjoy all the SMCCD has to offer when it is time for them to consider college. I want everyone who considers college to look at SMCCD as one of their first choices for college not as a backup or an after thought.
