San Mateo County Community College District offers various programs available to high school students to get an "early" start on their college experience. 

Adult School: This program is designed for students earning their GED or high school equivlency who are interested in taking college courses independently. The classes may be on the college campus, online, or at the adult school or another off-site location.

Concurrent Enrollment: This program is designed for high school students (9th-12th grade) to take college courses independently (at the college campus, online, or at an off-site location) for free.

Dual Enrollment: This program is designed for high school students (9th-12th grade) to take college classes at their high school campus for free. These classes are part of their high school course schedule.
