We will be starting Phase One of the modernization of the Primary Gateway at the Farmhill Blvd. Entry next Monday, 11-17-08. Phase One is scheduled for completion by 12-12-08 at which time Phase Two will commence on 12-15-08 with completion date of 2-06-09. Please see these documents (Phase I Phase II) for a clear understanding of the anticipated traffic routing for each Phase.
The alternate routes have been very carefully considered to minimize disruption to accessing the Campus, but care must be taken to avoid accidents. Please drive safely and courteously, as the traffic lanes will be narrower than one is used to seeing at this entry; speed limits must be observed.
The Work is extensive: demolition of existing roadway and repaving; demo of the existing Canada College sign, replaced with magnificent Granite clad entry signs; addition of a Spectacular Water Feature, also made with Granite; site lighting upgrades; additional trees and planting; security cameras to improve the Campus safety. It will be something we can all be very proud of when completed.
Road barriers and other safety measures will be in place to separate pedestrians and from construction equipment to minimize disruption to the campus.
