Hello everyone – with the construction of our new Building 11 (Auto Transmission Facility) getting fully underway – there are underground water lines that need to be moved and improved. Hensel Phelps Construction has agreed to do this during a period that impacts the campus the least – during the week of Spring Break. Water will have to be shut off for three Buildings in order for Hensel Phelps Construction to do this.
On Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April10, there will be NO WATER in Buildings 8, 9, and 10. This means toilets will not flush, no water from the sinks, and no drinking fountain water within those three buildings.
Swinerton will be posting signage on all the affected restrooms redirect staff people to the restrooms in Building 1 or 2. If you have questions or concerns, you can direct them to Zak Conway, Swinerton’s Building 11 project lead at ext 7042 or conwayz@smccd.edu or Mony Thach at ext 7053 or thachm@smccd.edu.
With a string of Construction Notices lately – it’s easy to get them all mixed up. You can always view announced ‘Construction Notices’ at http://www.smccd.edu/accounts/smccd/departments/facilities/SKY_Notices.shtml
I apologize for this inconvenience. Please be careful around all the construction areas. Thanks -
Richard
