SMCCCD Libraries will adjust open hours, and services during campus closures to support online classes and remote work. 

The situation is fluid, and rapidly evolving. Updates regarding library closures and available library services will be posted on this site, but you are encouraged to contact your college library directly via online chat to verify hours and services.

  • Access to online research databases containing ebooks, streaming video, journal articles, online news, and more

Library Borrowing

During the campus closure, books and other physical materials that have been checked out don't need to be returned until libraries re-open.

  • Due dates for materials borrowed from any of the SMCCCD libraries are being extended until after the libraries re-open.
  • Students and other library users do not need to do anything to extend their due dates.
  • There will be no fines or late fees during this period.
  • Please disregard any late notice emails should they occur.
  • New hold requests for library materials have been temporarily disabled.

If you have concerns or any problems related to this, simply come to your library once it is open again, or contact your library via email or online chat.
