Training Programs

In response to the overwhelming impact that COVID-19 has had on our local and county-wide communities, SMCCCD colleges are developing a variety of training programs designed to fit your specific needs. Whether your goal is to re-enter the workforce with short-term career training or you're interested in earning a college issued certificate or degree, we're here to help you every step of the way. Our programs are designed to prepare you with the in-demand skills that employers are looking for. Please see below for a list of online offerings, many of which are offered in collaboration with the Community, Continuing and Corporate Education (CCCE) division of SMCCCD.

Short-term Training Programs
These programs can be completed in as little as 1-6 months. Participants will earn a Certificate of Completion however, no college credit may be awarded.

Certificate Programs
These programs can be completed in 6-12 months. Students will earn college credit and a Certificate of Achievement or Specialization from the college.

Associate Degree Programs
These programs can be completed in approximately 2 years. Students will earn college credit and an Associate Degree from the college.

ETPL Approved Training Programs

SMCCCD colleges have programs listed on the State of California Employer Development Department’s (EDD) Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) to help you continue to receive benefits while enrolled in an approved program. Please contact NOVA, San Mateo County’s Workforce Development Board to learn more and confirm eligibility.
