Hazing Prevention

Everyone can play a role in preventing hazing. Hazing should never be considered a normal or acceptable part of joining or participating in an organization, team, club, or other group.

Help Prevent Hazing

If you see something concerning:

  • Do not participate in or help organize an activity that could put someone at risk.
  • Question traditions or activities that involve humiliation, coercion, fear, injury, or dangerous behavior.
  • Speak up or intervene when it is safe to do so.
  • Get help from an advisor, coach, College employee, Student Services, or Public Safety.
  • Report concerns early. You do not need to wait for someone to be injured before reporting possible hazing.
