Disability Access & ADA Compliance
Disability Access and ADA Compliance
San Mateo County Community College District is committed to ensuring an inclusive and equitable environment for all, where programs and services are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. The District recognizes that successfully ensuring equal access to educational programs, employment opportunities, public events, and community services is not solely the responsibility of any one individual or department. It is a shared commitment that we, as a district, actively support and encourage.
The District Office is available to provide training, consultation, information, and appropriate referrals for disability-related matters.
District Compliance Programs
The District Office oversees efforts to ensure equitable access and full participation for individuals with disabilities in all San Mateo County Community College District programs and services. In its work to support the District's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related federal and state laws, the District Office works closely with units throughout the District, including, but not limited to:
- College of San Mateo Disability Resource Center
- Skyline College Educational Access Center
- Cañada College Disability Resource Center
- District Facilities, Planning, Maintenance & Operations Departments, and
- Information Technology Services
