DegreeWorks Access 

  • Your Username and G-number are sent along with the Welcome email to your personal email address.
  • If you could not find the Welcome email, visit Forgot Username page.

You can reset it by clicking the Forgot Password link on the mySMCCD portal login page. For more information, visit Reset Password tutorial page.

Yes, you can log in before you receive a student email (@my.smccd.edu) account. The student email account is no longer needed to reset your password.
 You can unlock your account by resetting your password. A successful password reset will unlock your account.

General Questions

DegreeWorks is an online degree/certificate audit and student education planning system. DegreeWorks assists you in tracking your progress toward graduation, map out which classes to take, and explore all degrees and certificates offered by San Mateo County Community College District. It is designed to aid and facilitate academic advising, but is not intended to replace face-to-face counseling sessions.

No. Registration is completed through your WebSmart account. 

Yes. Once grades have been processed at the end of the semester, they are visible in DegreeWorks. Classes that you are currently enrolled in are shown as “IP” (In Progress). 

Students with academic records after the Summer 1981 term can view and print unofficial transcripts online:

  • Log in to your WebSmart student account at websmart.smccd.edu
  • Select Student Records, then Request Unofficial Transcript.
  • Verify or enter your email address and select continue.

Student Education Plans and Worksheets

The Worksheets page contains your degree/certificate audit. The audit helps students and counselors monitor progress toward degree/certificate completion. The audit matches your classes against the requirements for your declared Skyline College, Cañada College, or San Mateo College degree/certificate. The audit shows whether a particular requirement has been met, is in progress, or is “still needed.”

The worksheet in your DegreeWorks account is based on the information available in our districts student information system. This includes your major of study, catalog rights, course enrollments and grades. P

Yes. Your worksheet does include coursework evaluated by Transcript Evaluation Services from outside colleges and universities that meet their guidelines. It also includes external exams (AP/IB/CLEP) that have been submitted to the Admissions and Records office at Skyline College, Cañada College, or San Mateo College/
