Logging into Canvas

Cañada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College are launching an improved Canvas login solution. This tutorial will walk you through login and setting up your password recovery options.

Step One: Login

Login directly to OneLogin

Enter your full email address and your current password then click on the “Log In” button.

Step Two: Answer Security Questions

The first time you login, you will be presented with a screen asking you to provide answers to security questions. You can use these security questions in the future to reset a lost password.

You will be asked to answer at least five questions.

You cannot add your own questions, you must use the ones provided by OneLogin.

Provide your answers to the security questions and click on the “SAVE” button in the upper right-hand corner.

Note: We do not provide two-factor authentication

Step Three (optional) : Add Your Mobile Phone Number

If you would like the ability to reset your password via SMS message, then you will need to provide your 10-digit mobile phone number.

On your profile page, below the icon of your profile photo, click on the option to “Update phone number.”

Type in your phone number and slick the "SAVE" button

Step Four: Return to Dashboard to Access Canvas

To access the dashboard, click on the “San Mateo County Community College District” logo in the upper left-hand corner OR click this link: OneLogin Portal

Then, click on "Canvas" to be automatically logged into Canvas.

How do I update my Profile

While on the OneLogin Dashboard, you can edit your profile

Click on your name on the upper right corner, then click on "Profile."

To get to the list of applications, click on "App Portal/Home"

How do I change my Password

On your Profile page, below the icon of your profile photo, you will see the "Change Password" option.

First, enter your current password. Then, enter your new password twice

Note: You cannot use the last five passwords you have used previously.
