How to use this website

We have set up a number of pages on the SMCCCD ZTC website to help you with getting more information and to connect you with opportunities for more. Each page is linked below.

  • Data: We have collected data on ZTC/LTC usage in the district, student and faculty comments and input, plus more data on ZTC and LTC practices all in one site.
  • Policy and Guidance: Find all that you need to be prepared for how ZTC and LTC works in California as well as our district. It's also where you'll find up-to-date information on the Burden-Free Instructional Materials policies at the local and state levels, information on Copyright, and the latest briefs and memos from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office.
  • Professional Development: Information on this page is the heart of our district-wide collaborative work. You'll find links to all professional development opportunities to get you up to speed on how to use OER and other zero-cost materials to transform your courses. You'll also find the link to our annual Open Education Week activities.
  • Highlights: The latest news, resources and presentations from our local ZTC folks and across the ZTC-osphere.
  • ZTC for students: We've collected resources and links to student services at our colleges to assist students in finding and enrolling in ZTC classes, how to find and use OER, as well as information about library-based course materials and other digital materials.
